Pin Up Girl’s Agreement

We have some basic tenets of integrity that accompany wearing the pin.

  • A woman's safety comes first, and this includes your own. Please do not compromise your own safety by entering situations of physical violence. In an emergency, the best support is to call 911.

  • Do not use violence or physical aggression in your attempt to help another. Pin Up Girls can creatively find ways to protect peers without putting themselves and others around them in direct physical danger.

  • When deciding which steps to take, imagine how you would advise someone you love: would you tell your child to get into someone else’s car, or go into someone’s home? If not, then best follow that same safety advice in your own situation.  There are inherent risks and dangers in any situation.  Never do something that increase risk or danger"

  • Please only wear the pin when you are able to actively help. Your mental health is important, so if you need a break, please take it! Ensure you have the appropriate time, energy and focus to fulfill the promise of support that the pin symbolizes.

  • As Pin Up Girls, the respect we have for our fellow women permeates all aspects of our lives. This means that some harmful patterns - like gossiping or mean online commentary - cannot co-exist with the tenets of Pin Up Girl Integrity.

  • Remember that when you wear the pin, you are representing all the women and girls who are also wearing the pin! We are a proud collective of women and your sense of belonging in this group is important to us. Please ensure your actions match our tenets of integrity.

  • Please wear the pin in a visible place, so that it can be easily seen by someone who may need support.

  • It’s easy to become distracted while out in public, especially by companions or devices. Please remember that when you wear the pin you must share that focus with the people around you, so that you can be aware of situations where you can help.

  • When you sign up to be a Pin Up Girl, it is a commitment that is taken seriously. We ask you to provide your name, address for our private database. This helps build trust and provide accountability within our organization.
